Dinner at Charlie's watch bar last night was very good! We went around 6:00 and only about 6 tables in there (it filled in more while we ate). Servers were very nice, happy hour prices were good. We got the southwest egg rolls as an appetizer and they were excellent. I got their burger and it was a perfect size with bacon, nice fresh lettuce, tomato and pickels. My husband got the BLT and it was excellent...no 3rd piece of bread. The onion rings were very good and the fries were typical. Nice to have a place so close by! Patrons were walking there from the new apartments. Hope this one survives, since none of the restaurants in that spot have survived very long. It's located on W. Lake Houston in between DiMaria and Los Jarrito's.

djcodyblue : We ate at Los Jarritos on Friday night but walked into Watch Bar first to check out their menu. They had Lonestar bottle for $2. Menu seemed typical for this kind of place. DH said drink prices were high. I did not see the drink prices. They had just told us about the $2 special. Hope they make it. Looks like a neat place. We'll go at some point to watch some games for sure.

thanks for the review. Hope to stop by sometime. Can't find a happy hour; they will prob need to have one, to keep up with the many others, in our area.
Zakangel : They are a little expensive....it was worth it though to support local!
RolloTomaso: agreed; they're gonna have to buy things like Patron Grill's all day happy hour on Thursdays. Craft margaritas, so many delicious flavors. Ribeye nachos! This spot is going to have to get in the game; i do hope they do well.

I understand why some businesses do not want to post their menu prices on their web sites.
