Does anyone remember when Northpark was called Anderson Road? Someone posted a song they made about changes over the years to this area...
He also posted a family photo of Porter from 1938, and a log cabin on Northpark from 1942. From his post:

Joe : I have been here 35 years. And I do wish I could get the old Kingwood back. So much traffic now and people think red lights are just a suggestion.

Northpark Drive is a major thoroughfare in Kingwood, Texas, which is near Humble. There's no indication that Northpark Drive was ever called Anderson Road in the available information, including a period around 2022. There's an "Anderson Road" in Humble, Texas, but it's a distinct road from Northpark Drive.
Joe : I remember. My husband and his sweet Grandpa would hike thru the woods to get to the spot where our home sits now…from Anderson Road thru the woods to what is now Russell Palmer. It was called DIRT ROAD before it was named RP. EasTex Frwy ended where Lowe's sits. 494 was the "extension" of the highway.

Joe : Absolutely love this …thanks for posting! It's amazing how things change over the course of time. The old family farm land in East Texas has not changed at all from my grandparents days…just a couple of houses built for the next generation. The city has definitely came to Kingwood/Porter. I did too.
Joe : My Dad played high school football; his high school located in a county about 30 minutes away; they came to games on a dirt road, now 1960. We had a cousin who lived in Moonshine Hill, which is still there, off 1960. Their home was one of very very few, and Very rural.

Joe : I'm thinking this family may have been where Needham Road got it's name way back when. Or perhaps an extension of this family.
