I was thinking with the seeming quietness of the season that a possible decrease in activity had been forecasted, but nope. A slight uptic in fact . The next few months are going to busy busy. Just depends on when those storms start lining up off the coast of Africa.

Ruger5 : I was thinking the same, but also remembering we have a ways to go. Ruminating on this dust cloud stuff; is it keeping 'canes away, too? If so, it is well worth the extra Visine I use, and put up with the dust!?

Ruger5 : I enjoy 2 YT channels. "Mr. Weatherman" with Brian Shields and "Weatherman Plus". I watched them just yesterday and they were discussing the waves coming off of Africa and how the Saharan dust plays into the situation. I actually watch them often more so that just checking NHC which says :

Ruger5 : I have zero faith in any weather forecasting for hurricanes. They have really zero clue so they just say it's gonna be above average so they can CYA. If they said something like we expect no hurricanes this season then most people will do nothing and then go postal if one forms. We live close to the Gulf. It's a risk we take living here so be prepared because hurricanes don't just form off the coast of Africa but can spin up pretty much anywhere when the conditions are right.
