rocklady2024 : I can. Seems like we are shifting to year around school by shortening the summer break and adding breaks into the school year. My DD's district has a week in October now. September has a long weekend, October has a week, November has Thanksgiving, December has Christmas break. January is fine. February has a week. March has Spring break. You get the picture. I wonder when the "tax free weekend" is? It usually is right before kids go back.

It does seem like they start them back earlier and earlier every year. This year, at least, school doesn't start back until the 13th for KW. I'm not quite ready, but I'll get there. Lol

Here I go again. I still cannot get used to all this. In the "good old days" school started the Monday after Labor Day, and ended the Friday before Memorial Day. Thanksgiving was Thursday and Friday. Public schools had spring break and Catholic schools had Easter break. Christmas break usually lasted until January 2nd or 3rd or 4th, depending on what date was Monday. We had all three months off in the summer to play. And not that long ago, really, because my kids were on that same schedule. Not sure what @#$%^&* came up with the current system.

SarcasmWins: I'm so old we didn't have spring break. Just Good Friday. Same schedule day after Labor Day and out before Memorial Day. I believe only Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving. Can't remember Christmas but I'm pretty sure it was only a few days.
