Wilderness Park Is there a park or wilderness area North of Kingwood? If so, what is it called? Not Artesian Lakes (further South) but there was a thread year or so ago that I saw. It was a place close to here. Anyone know? Thanks in advance!

Zakangel : Thanks for the tips. Yes, but it's been years. It used to be called Peach Creek and was a Girl Scout camp. I'm sure it's changed some in all those years.

Zakangel : It's an ok park, but if you're looking for wilderness on Lake Houston don't be fooled by the name of this park, as no part of Lake Houston Wilderness Park actually touches Lake Houston.

Zakangel : The East Fork of the San Jacinto River forms the eastern boundary of the park, which is accessible by trails. Peach Creek runs along the west side of the park, nice picnicking area and wading. Also the "AmeriTrail" follows Peach Creek for about 4 miles.
