Has anyone ever toured the Houston Ship Channel? Looks like the tour is closed down in July due to annual maintenance. I've always wanted to do it. I think it would be very interesting.

Zakangel : yes, I done it twice. It's very interesting and seeing the huge ships up close was cool. Highly recommend it!

Zakangel : yes, I done it twice. It's very interesting and seeing the huge ships up close was cool. Highly recommend it!

Gammyof2 : Good to know. Putting it on my to do list! This sort of thing fascinates me. Wish they were running next week! Taking some days off before the holiday but they are closed.

DH, granddaughter #1 and I did this about 10 years ago and really enjoyed it. I tried to book a tour this spring for us plus granddaughter #2. Absolutely no luck! Apparently this has become very popular, with high demand. Good luck on booking in the future!

Yes, it's great. I've gone on this tour several times over the years. So much to see!
Last few times, we've gone to Ninfa's on Navigation afterwards.

Went on a field trip with my school once. Also, use to go to Shanghai Reds for dinner and Sunday champagne brunch. Anybody remember going there?
