We received this email from CenterPoint today: To improve weather forecasting and our response, we've installed 100 advanced weather monitoring stations
CenterPoint Energy has installed more than 100 new weather monitoring stations across the Greater Houston area to better understand weather trends and provide forecasting ahead of storms. These stations provide real-time data on temperature, wind speed, humidity and rainfall rates, giving us a clear picture of local weather events as they unfold.
But we are not stopping there. By combining this data with advanced AI tools, we are able to:
• Identify weather trends earlier
• Improve storm preparedness and response
• Understand how the weather could impact our electric infrastructure
• Keep you informed with better accuracy
It's just one of the ways we are working to build the most resilient coastal grid in the country.

Money would be better spent hiring linemen rather than depending on a contract with a company to do the work. Outsourcing all the linemen to save money was the result of. of the deregulation of electricity And is why it takes so long to get power restored .
