We went there a few months ago. Service was very good but turned out to be very expensive even with insurance.

Stand alone ERs are different from urgent care and are pricey just like ERs in hospitals.

The MH Convenient Care Center ER is not really the same as the other stand-alone ERs. It is actually part of the main MH Northeast and bills under the same ID as the main ER. If the main MH hospital is in-network with a person's insurance, then the CCC should be covered the same. I did call my insurance to verify this, and I suggest others do the same if they think they would want to use the CCC.I brought my son there a couple of years ago, and it turned out that he had appendicitis and needed emergency surgery. They transferred him to the main MH Northeast, and it was treated as one admission, so we did not have to pay twice for hospital charges. We have had only good experiences there!

I've gone there twice, and 2 other family members have as well, all for issues that truly needed an ER. We're grateful to have it here in Kingwood.
