From Space City Weather MONDAY -- *Most locations, especially south and east of Highway 59/Interstate 69 will see some rain today. And we cannot rule out some stronger thunderstorms this afternoon which may drop up to about 1 inch.
*Skies will otherwise be partly sunny, with high temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s, and fairly light winds from the south.
*Low temperatures tonight will only drop into the upper 70s for most locations.

I get read that like 6 people are dead in West Virginia as they had anywhere from 2.5 inches to 4 inches of rain in 1 hour!!

cbear : Yeah I saw that. I read where one rain gauge showed 3 inches in 45 minutes. 😬😬😬

StormChaser : If that were snow instead of rain....that would be a blizzard! Those poor people.

The rain gets tiring but I am kinda happy to get it as the droughts of July and August are tough. We got 1.72 inches of rain yesterday and our lawn guys are out there mowing now. No tracks in the grass so it's not terribly wet.
