MCTXSheriff Arrests Brian Lee Todd for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office

On June 12, 2025, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brian Lee Todd of Porter, Texas, for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender- Felony. Todd is currently in the Montgomery County Jail.

A special thank you to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Compliance Unit and the District 5 Patrol deputies for making this arrest.

I may not be putting a lot of thought into this but " failed to register". Why is it up to them to register, shouldn't that be the courts be doing that?

Lace : When they move from place to place they have to register their new location I believe. The court has no control over them moving around. It is up to them to reregister when they do.
