SimonMed Imaging. Vent. I've used this place several times when it was under a different name and had no issues. It's the imaging place by Quest on 59. I'm on the phone with them trying to schedule my mom a bone density. I called thinking it would be faster than scheduling it online. Wrong! I have been on the phone with them for 45 minutes! I finally asked the lady where she was and they are in the Philippines! It has never taken me this long to schedule an appointment. Next time I will do it all online. To be honest, I don't think I'll use them after this. 😔

I had my bone density test done at Solis when I went in for my mammogram. It was easy. It's in the Kingwood hospital building.

A couple of years ago I had a DXA scan done at Memorial Herman on KWD by HEB. Easy scheduling via phone and procedure. I will use them again later this year.

My DH recently had his DEXA bone density done there. He had one there 2 years ago when it was GO Imaging. His rheumatologist wanted him to have it on the same machine if at all possible, so we went there even though it changed ownership. The report came back "no prior test for comparison. " The technician verified it was the same machine and she, in fact, had done his previous test. I guess the records didn't convey.

By all means, get your DEXA scans at the same place every year. I had my first scan at Memorial Herman Imaging Kingwood (HEB Center) When my endocrinologist looked at it he said I was positioned wrong, thus resulting in an inaccurate score. The next DEXA was done at Methodist Med Center and every one after that. Not only the machines make a difference but the tech doing the scan needs to be skilled.

I really liked Go Imaging... I didn't realize they changed hands. I just use them for x-rays so they dont take appointments. I was informed when I arrived that no information was carry over to the new owners. However, all went well, the tech was terrific. I called my Dr for results and after a week, they have heard nothing. I call Simon and was told it could take as long as 4 weeks for some to look at the x-rays and send report to to Dr. I will not be using them again.
