Kingwoods 31st Annual Firework Show and Festival is back and better than ever.

A letter from myself and my wife we shared on facebook. Please take the time to read this. We have worked so hard on bringing an amazing firework show and festival back to Kingwood.

Good evening, Kingwood,
We'd like to take a quick moment to introduce ourselves. We're Timothy and Krystal Wertman, the husband-and-wife team behind JG Events-a small, family-run company named after "Jelly Girl," the local jelly and jam vendor many of you might remember from the Kingwood Farmers Market.
Our journey started in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, when our community was hit hard. We were on the ground helping neighbors rebuild-cooking meals, doing laundry, and lending a hand wherever it was needed. Like many local businesses, ours was struggling too. So, we decided to do something different to lift spirits and support the community.
That's when we launched Texas' first-ever Pickle Festival, right here in Kingwood-the "In a Pickle Festival." That first year, Kingwood came together in a way we'll never forget. The energy, the support, the unity-it was the true meaning of Kingwood Strong.
So, when the Kingwood Town Center Association selected us to take on the city's core community events-including the 4th of July Fireworks Show and Festival-we were honored.
This is our first year running these events, and like any new chapter, we've had our share of challenges. But we've worked around the clock to make sure the events Kingwood loves not only continue, but grow.
We're asking you-our community-to trust us. Because this year's 4th of July Festival and Fireworks Show is going to be something special:
🎆 We've partnered with Roar Over Texas, one of the top fireworks and pyrotechnics companies in the state, to deliver a 25-minute fireworks show and a grand finale that'll knock your red, white, and blue socks off. No corners were cut-this is going to be a show worth seeing.
📍 Thanks to the support of Ben Derauf, the new GM of Kingwood Country Club, we're bringing fireworks back to their original launch site-just like it was before 2017. For many, this will be a welcome, nostalgic return.
🤝 With the guidance of Tony Austin, whose passion and experience with Kingwood events over the past 15 years have been invaluable, we're building on a strong foundation with fresh energy and new goals.
🌭 And for the first time ever, we're bringing a Hot Dog Eating Contest to the 4th of July Festival!

But we can't do it without you.
We're inviting the entire Kingwood community to come out and be part of it:
🍔 Grab dinner from local food trucks
🍻 Enjoy a cold beer from Megaton Brewery or a cocktail from Home Town Chef
🛍️ Shop with local vendors
🎶 Enjoy the live music, games, and entertainment
🌳 Or just show up, have fun, and help keep the park beautiful
Your presence and your support matter.
👉 Local businesses: We'd love to have you as sponsors. Your support helps us add even more fun-more games, prizes, entertainment, and create unforgettable experiences for years to come.
This year's 4th of July Festival is free, family-friendly, pet-friendly, and packed with incredible food, live music, one-of-a-kind shopping, and the best fireworks show Kingwood has seen in years.
So bring your lawn chairs, your blankets, your patriotic spirit, and let's celebrate together at Town Center Park.
📣 Help us spread the word-please SHARE this post and TAG your friends, neighbors, and local businesses! Let's make this a celebration Kingwood will never forget.

Thank you and your DW for spearheading these events. The July 4th celebration used to be a big deal in KW. It's good to see it being revived.
