North Woodland Hills / Hidden Pines - no power

Same subdivision. Still no power at 4 pm. Frustrating.

smokey545 : Mine came back on in HR2 around 1230. After I had gone to gas up the car and grab some bags of ice no less! Not complaining..got ice for the next round. You?

smokey545 : Ours was out bout an hour late morning. I feel for those who will lose power in the heat of summer without relief. I say it every summer - a stand up AC and a generator. Even if it's only a small generator powerful enough to plug in a lamp, the fridge and the ac - that'll make ALL the difference.

myopinions4me : Wow...so sorry. Any ETA for restoration?? That sux.

When we moved to Kingwood in 1976, there were a heck of lot more trees and we didn't have the recurring power outages that have unfortunately become the reality for so many in Kingwood. Seems like since Kingwood was annexed, services from utilities and the city have declined. I interned for Council Member Sullivan during his last term and what I saw was eye opening. Needless to say, we need to make sure the people we elect for this City Council position have the best interests of the community as their number #1 priority. Too many times, positions like these are used as stepping stones and not for the benefit of the constituents.

Our street in North Woodland Hills is back on at 5 pm. Yay. 16 hours off.

Crazy amounts of building over the years didn't help. All the new subdivisions, apartment buildings, businesses etc require utilities. And losing countless amounts of trees to clear the land just makes potential flooding situations worse. I'm all for cities growing larger if the grids and infrastructure don't suffer for it.
