SamuelG : A couple of months ago, we were without electricity for about a day as a transformer nearby exploded. It was terrifically loud.
These transformers around here are super old. We found out that one was from the mid 80s (yep! 45 years old).

Centerpoint is a joke. The email I got said it is affecting 42 customers. If it's out in Woodstream then it's way more than that because I live in Greentree. We had an outage a few weeks ago that lasted all night and the notification email said the same thing "42 customers." We aren't even in hurricane season yet and our power is this unreliable.

Power out in Greentree but glad to have the rain. The usual trade-off.
Estimated restore time 3:19. Think I'd better transfer the beans from the crockpot to finish cooking on the gas stove.

SamuelG: did your power provider send you a text because it's just a little bit of rain so far ;maybe a tiny bit of thunder? but that's the bad thing about Kingwood if a bird sneezes the power goes out! Hope your power is back on soon!
