IAH Term C, Nasty Traffic.
Traffic was very backed up going to IAH Terminal C - Departures (upstairs). I noticed that it was Departures (downstairs) was Wide Open at around Noon.

Leave a extra early if going to the airport ... School is out and it's Memorial Day Weekend.

So it begins, plus there is construction. I would use a park and ride service, and let them drive me in to the terminals. You can often find online coupons for those; some times on their websites, like Parking Spot, etc

Traffic is always a nightmare at IAH . Add summer vacation and holiday weekend - to be avoided if possible.

It is always crazy busy there. I always plan for 40 minutes to get into the terminal from the end of the road in.

I was there 2 wks ago and the traffic was crazy and the parking was a mess.
Terminal A parking had 4 people handing out the tickets from 1 machine and when I left it was the same. Only 1 machine working.
So much construction going on too. They stop all traffic to move the heavy equipment.
Backs up fast. Sounds much worse now.
