I have failed as a parent
My youngest didn't know what Motown was when I told him I was going to the Motown performance at Miller on Thursday. I can redeem myself, though, because he wants to go

My kids were digging in attic boxes as we cleaned it at our home, and they came across my Grand Funk Railroad and Kansas casette tapes; opened up their musical world, in a good way, too! That sounds like a parenting win, actually. I'm not sure I can get my kid to listen to Motown, but I did get him into music from the 60's and 70's which I'm happy about. Enjoy the concert, how you both have fun!

At least he knows now and can enjoy the wonders of Motown music. I have such sweet memories of it as I grew up with my parents playing it, and hearing it on the radio at times.
