School board voting
We just went and voted about an hour ago and literally it took two minutes. They're all saying the voting turnout is very very low and everybody has opinions about the school board so please go vote. I have a very good friend that goes to church with us in our Bible study group Miss Elizabeth Shaw she's amazing just my personal opinion. But please go vote. There are four positions four seats open and they have said that there's 48,000 students in Humble ISD and there's only been less than 10,000 voting.

Cantaffordthis : it's sad that people don't vote in school board elections. That's one of the reasons the public school system is so broken.

I voted today. Sadly I was the only voter. Please choose to be involved in important educational decisions by voting on this school board. Our children's education really matters

The fact that we do so much of our voting on Saturdays now impresses me, but I feel that our whole concept of voting is broken and way behind the times. Low turn-outs have been shocking to me for years. Even presidential elections bring out only half of the eligible voters!!!! In Australia I heard that they fine you if you do not vote!? I don't think that is the anwer, but maybe if one had to take a test to become qualified they would take it more seriously - something clearly should be done. Oh yes I did vote in the ISD.

Last day to early vote! Go vote out the people that led our district to the misappropriation of funds.
