New Caney Rodeo Art Show Celebrates Student Creativity

New Caney ISD held its 51st annual Rodeo Art Show at Randall Reed Stadium on Thursday, January 9th. The New Caney ISD Rodeo Show displayed hundreds of original artworks from Kindergarten through 12th grade students.
The themes of the works of art ranged from Western traditions to Texas heritage, as well as creative twists on agriculture, horticulture, and livestock.
A record number of parents, teachers, and students attended the evening event despite the rainy weather. The guests enjoyed eating hors d'oeuvre and listening to Western-themed music while seeing the student art on display.
The New Caney ISD Rodeo Show is an excellent opportunity to show the talents of the students who attend New Caney ISD and to give those students a chance to showcase their art to the greater Houston area. The artwork was judged and given ribbons, and a few were awarded a finalist ribbon.
The art chosen as a finalist will be taken to NRG Stadium to be judged a second time for the opportunity to participate in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo art auction.
