Chick fila lake Houston location
I was so confused when I walked in this morning. Apparently they did away with counter service you walk in and somebody takes your order or you go sit down and somebody takes your order so I was so confused and thrown off cause I'm used to the Kingwood locations and been doing this for 20+ years counter service. They said this location and the owner that owns the Lake Houston location and the other humble location does it this way. I was just thinking it was like blocked off, which basically it is, but I just had no idea what was going on.

Moving forward. Businesses having such a hard time finding people who want to work. Soon automation will take the place of all the people.
I was told that it's for having more people in the back so when they have busy lunch and dinner hours, everybody can be in the back getting food ready and cooked faster to the people in line which makes sense. It was just kind of a shock to me.
No one likes it. It's good if you're on-the-go, however. It's strictly set up for drive-thru/delivery orders. The Humble location has the same concept. Matt Michaels owns both locations.
Yes that's his name. I was just so put off by it. But I get the point his staff takes your order when you walk in then you wait or honest for dining in. The people were all very friendly & courteous.
I got my free breakfast biscuit sandwich this morning. I went through the drive thru... I NEVER go inside anymore.

I am going to say something that is not going to e popular. I don't like that chain. But trust me I know, I am in the minority.
One of the reasons I don't go to Chick-fil-A® much is that there are too many people to deal with. It used to be I only had to deal with the person handing me my food, now even the drive through has people standing there taking the orders. I prefer the old ways.

Automation is better for businesses, when it comes to profits! Fewer employees, fewer managers, little or no need for employee insurance coverages, no problem with not having staff available. It all goes to apps, kiosks, and electronics, and the owner Keeps more of his money. I think Good Customer Service by a Human, will be less and less, as years go by, and eventually, there Might be 1 human in a place, and that is It.

Do you at least get to see a menu?
Seems like a great way to prevent you from seeing what's going on in the back!😩
That's why i went. Free biscuit but I didn't know if I needed to go in or drive thru so I went in. Big mistake. I didn't like it lol. I'll stay in my car from now on if I go to this one. They were nice inside.
