Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4

PHASE TWO OF COUNTY WIDE END OF THE YEAR IMPAIRED DRIVER INITIATIVE HAS BEGUN!

Constable Mark Herman and the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office joined forces with multiple agencies ahead of the New Year's holiday weekend to crack down on drunk drivers across the county.

This zero tolerance initiative will run from Saturday December 28th to Wednesday, January 6th.

“These increased law enforcement patrols have incorporated a pro-active police approach during this busy weekend to keep our citizens and their families safe. If you choose to drink and drive, you choose to go to jail.” - Constable Mark Herman
Please follow Constable Herman's Safety Tips:

• Designate a sober driver if you have consumed alcohol.
• Call a cab or Uber for transportation needs.
• Protect others by taking their keys if they attempt to drive after consuming alcohol.
• Be responsible-make safe decisions.

Happy New Year from the men and women of Constable Mark Herman’s Office!

TownHubAdmin: that should be all of the time, not just during the holidays. There is no excuse to drive drunk. RIP Kevin, Emily, JoAnn, Jack and many more that have lost their life to drunk drivers.

TownHubAdmin :
I sent this to my son. He is turning 21 on the 4th. I offered Uber or Lyft credits for a second time. I hope he listens. When I offered last week, he said he would just sleep it off in his car till morning. WTH! Maybe this will get him to listen.

Thankful that Texas recognizes the unconstitutionality of DUI checkpoints and the city can manage to keep the streets safe while still respecting our rights.
