Constable arrests sex offender with firearm in New Caney 
Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden, Pct. 4 Constable, Montgomery County, TX On December 10th, our office received information detailing a male identified as Clayton Helm being in the New Caney area. Helm who is a sex offender from a prior case of Sexual Assault of a Child, had failed to register his information with the state and was also possibly in possession of a firearm. Members of our patrol division spent the day investigating this matter using information that we had received. At around midnight last night, we discovered Helm camping in a wooded area off US Highway 59 in New Caney. Helm was quickly detained on contact, and eventually placed into custody after a .38 special revolver was recovered at the camp site. Helm was charged with Fail to Register as a Sex Offender and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Helm was transported and booked into The Montgomery County Jail.
