Has anyone successfully requested FEMA assistance? We were immediately denied, saying we didn't have structural damages. I thought they were reimbursing for lost food.
Log back in to see if it changed. Many were denied immediately and then days later approved for the lost food.
Yep. Check back into FEMA and see if you got the $750 immediate assistance. They'll send either direct deposit or by check. I had given up on FEMA after the initial denial. Then logged in later and lo and behold, there was a notification that they had already sent a $750 check to us.
I was denied but then approved for food also pending storage
I did need for garage contents. I'm sure I will have to have someone come out check the structural damage. We do not make the $ we use to so I'm sure it does
Go on income. I'm grateful for what they are giving me anything helps right now.

I applied this morning because my neighbor said she received $750 for food! FEMA came back to me and wants a copy of my electric bill to show dates without power, even though that is not on their list of required items. I'm going to keep trying. Government red tape!
How does your power bill show what days did not have electricity? Mine never shows that. And you have to make a claim on your homeowner's insurance?

Called my energy provider after my post and learned that Centerpoint has to issue it! Dang!
