Saved by a friend!

I haven't gone back and read the thread but we got my girlfriends generator going and it's MUCH better thank our POS - although that generator has saved us the last 5 years but hers is a brand new portable 6500 Generac.
Mine is 20 years old & only a 4500 so it's probably only putting out about 3000 - Not nearly enough which is why the the breakers kept flipping.

After the stupid brand new AC unit we bought wouldn't work, my husband scoured the area for one. At 11pm last night he found one at the Home Depot off West Little York and 59. It had a 45 minute line to get it but plenty of generators and AC units.

We got it installed and last night our bedrooms were 65° all night long. 🙌🙌🙌

It was the best nights sleep I've had in years!

Its currently running 2 fridges, 1 portable AC unit, 1 window AC unit, 5 medium & large fans, the Tachus router, my coffee machine, my CPAP battery, my charging tower for all the devices and a small TV with my Roku! 😯

What a lifesaver! ❤️

Allllllll that on a 6500W Generac. (I'm still getting my whole home one though lol. Like - ASAP. It should happen in the next 30 days which is why I was REALLY hoping this year wouldn't start out crazy like this.

I could not be more thankful for amazing friends and for my husband who has been killing himself since the storm hit to make sure we're all comfortable and safe.

He finally crawled into bed at 1am after being up since 3am and he then immediately got a text that his office had power....so they all had to be there at 6am so he's now at work. God - poor guy. 🥺 He's been running ragged for weeks and now.

Anyway, once we get power back, I'll gladly pass along my generator and portable AC unit for anyone that needs to borrow it.

StormChaser :
You are so sweet. You will love having a whole house generator. Hope it comes in soon. I fear we may get more than one hurricane.

StormChaser : How the hell is it running all that? Even staggering the appliances would put out a heavy demand especially when you run the coffee maker

Your generator sounds wonderful. Do you hook it into your main breaker box or run extention cords?

Hope your husband gets some sleep.😴
