Trailwood new trash days

Because most of the holidays fall on Mondays and Thursday (thanksgiving). This year we waited three weeks to get recycling pickup because Christmas was on Monday, then the following Monday was New Year's and then finally the next Monday we had pick up.

What, I have not heard this! How do you know this?
When is heavy trash day now? When is recycling day now?

Weathergirl5 lisapisabobisa : Careful what you wish for! Take a look at the chart and if you go with the W-Sat, this year you will have the same trash days for Christmas and NY as you did this year. Take a look at the chart which are the Best Trash Holidays and yes there are more days with M-Th, but I don't want to have pickup on Saturday.Really if you are worried about holidays and missing too many days, the Tues-Friday would be the best option.

Touche : Oh, you didn't get the email? Maybe you weren't registered with an email, and get paper billing? Oops, the contract was signed by KAM and Trailwood Village on February 27th, too late to get a notice in your quarterly paper bill. KAM just notified Best Trash this week to notify customers that were affected and the email is the best that Best Trash could do with the SHORT notice from KAM.Be on the lookout though for possibly some signs from KAM at the entrances notifying you of the change. I agree. The best trash pick up days would be Tuesday and Friday. And you are right we will get screwed again this year since it was leap year and Christmas and New Year's both fall on a Wednesday. But overall I'm just tired of pick up on Monday and Thursday. Labor Day and Memorial Day are always on Monday and Thanksgiving is always on Thursday. I guess at this point it doesn't matter since it's pretty much a done deal. I was basically just happy to get rid of Monday.

SteveT : I'm glad we're on the Tues & Fri schedule here in Sand Creek, with recycling on Tues.

It's NOT a done deal as much as you might think. The lady I spoke to at Best Trash was a little miffed at why we were changing. She said that if we wanted to change back to M-Th we could and would need to know within a week or two. I told her there was an HOA meeting on the 26th and she said that she would need to know the next day!Did the Board ever consider the T-F option?Perfect compromise here for the holidays. Something to think about before a 3 to 5 year contract gets set in stone.

I agree. Ultimately my first choice would be Tuesday Friday. But I will take Wednesday, Saturday over Monday, Thursday even though this year we miss out by having Wednesdays.
