Hamblen & 59 barriers going up. Take a different route out

â€œ Kingwood Traffic Alert!! TXDOT will be placing barricades under US 59 at Hamblen Road within the hour due to high water. Expect delays and plan to take alternate routes.â€

sweetie : You have lived around there for a long time. How high does the river have to be for Hamblin to have a little water over it. Is it 52 feet or more?

Has to go pretty high for Hamblen to close. Quite a bit higher than for the turnaround under 59 to close. Don't know the exact river height though.
