Alert from ERCOT about Texas Grid...
I just got this email alert from ERCOT. Be vigilant: "ERCOT has issued a Conservation Appeal for Monday, January 15, from 6 a.m. - 10. a.m. CT. Due to continued freezing temperatures, very high demand, and unseasonably low wind, operating reserves are expected to be low during the morning hours of Monday, January 15, prior to the solar ramp up. As a result, ERCOT is asking Texans to conserve electricity use, if safe to do so, Monday, January 15, from 6 a.m. - 10 a.m. CT. ERCOT is expecting similar conditions on Tuesday, January 16, and will closely monitor conditions and keep the public informed through our communication channels.   Tomorrow's conservation appeal does not indicate ERCOT is experiencing emergency conditions at this time. ERCOT will remain vigilant and communicate further if conditions change because of continued freezing temperatures and very high demand in the morning hours. At this time, if you are experiencing an outage, it is local in nature and not related to overall grid reliability. Please check with your local electric provider for more information. "

One minute they're saying we got this and now urging caution so they can blame us when grid fails. It's a crappy grid that cannot keep up with the crappy population explosion. They know it and they should know we know it!
I will be at work, and put the heat on about 67, while I am gone. Lights all off, so someone else can use my power/energy, while I am gone, and keep people and pets warm!

I agree ERCOT is a POC ! We need to get the politicians to sign a reciprocal grid agreements with other states like the rest of the country does.
We are conserving as much as possible so perhaps they need to restate every suggested conservation method again - maybe I am missing something.

Ruger5 : It's like they create their own wonderful world of profit by constantly raising rates and then begging us to use less so they don't look bad but they're never responsible. 😂😂
