Good for the business I work in. Not looking forward to seeing what it brings for all of us though 🫤
*Sustained winds between 25 to 30 mph are expected with gusts up to 45 mph possible.
I have been meaning to ask. Is El Nino still expected to break down and give way to normal conditions by the summer? I don't want another year like last year.
Stay safe y'all! We had a little rain but the wind behind😱! I have several large roses in very big cement pots- and the wind blew one over!! I looked outside and the neighbors' palm trees looked like they were in a tropical storm- blowing everywhere. I didn't last long but still.
Severe weather possible - Today (Mon) Severe weather update - Today (Monday) Good morning, KDC! #1: You're likely going to read & hear about our severe weather potential today.
#2: This forecast *does* include the possibility of hail, damaging winds & even tornadoes.
#3: We will see two rounds of storms which I detail below. âš¡ï¸ Late Morning/Early afternoon: This is our window for the first round of storms, which has the greatest threat for tornadic due to supercell formation coming from the west.
âš¡ï¸ Late afternoon (5-7PM): This round has much less of a tornado threat, but damaging winds & hail will be a possibility. *The overall flood threat is limited, though some localized street flooding is possible in heavier downpours. Right now, the first round looks to be the round to watch because of the tornado risk. Both rounds have severe potential.
*As always, a lot of ingredients have to come together for that to happen.
***I WILL post today's AM update from Space City Weather, which should come out by 7 or 8am. this morning. SCW is obviously my choice for the most accurate local forecasts, so I'm curious as to what their forecast entails today. .............. Posted by Storm Chaser Reed Timmer. He will be in our area today.
............... Heads up for TUESDAY: *A Wind Advisory begins at 6 a.m. Monday and goes until 6 p.m. Tuesday for all of southeast Texas.
*Sustained winds between 25 to 30 mph are expected with gusts up to 45 mph possible. As always, I'll keep y'all updated, and I will post any and all warnings. Stay safe!
