Kingwood is losing a lot of beautiful trees. Leaves are dropping

Ruger5 : I know. Several on my street in others yards are dead….droughts suck!

Ruger5 : If it's not the heat it's Kingwood's need of new parking lots.

CantStandTex : more concrete is the last thing we need. I do hate losing all these trees though. Back during the last heatwave in 2011 we lost over one thousand trees. Heart breaking. Sadly many of the trees we planted to replace the lost trees are now dying 😩. I wonder if plants experience pain?

Ruger5 : That is so sad…hopefully it will rain before too much longer!

I remember when we had one of these droughts a few (10ish?) years ago and lost so many. Hate to see it again. I'm almost certain one of my 30+ year old hedges in front of my house is done for and it's gonna leave a nasty gap. The afternoon sun is just slaughtering our west facing front yard.

Ruger5: I was studying mine today looking for signs of problems. So far, Im good except for one pesky gum ball tree which looks to be suffering. As much as i hate that tree sometimes, i will start the slow drip in the morning.

MGBguy : This is why I have an east west exposure. So much better than a north south exposure.

Donnawisdom: Me too but then ill have to pay to have it removed! I have magnolias, huge probably 80 year old pecan trees, super tall pines and oaks in my yard. None of them **** me off like that damn gumball!
