I can't believe school starts August 9. Where has the summer gone?

Gigix4 : It's crazy because it seems like they just got out for the summer. The grand starts then and my great nieces start the 16th. I bought school supplies this past weekend. Crazy it's so early.

I've got only 2 grands left for HISD. One will be a senior and the 2nd will be a freshman. 2 in high school and this Gigi is about ready to cry.

Kingwood starts the 9th?
Remember that law that was passed years ago saying school couldn't start until the 3rd week of August?
What happened to that?
