HPD Update on The Pursuit You May Have Seen Along Hwy. 59
At approximately 1:30 PM Wednesday 7/19/2023, Humble PD received multiple calls regarding an aggravated robbery that had just occurred at Costco off W Townsen Blvd.
Callers were advising that a female victim had been shot. Officers quickly arrived on scene and began to assist by applying medical gauze to the wound. The victim provided information regarding the two suspects, a male and a female.
The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
Moments after the robbery, a Flock LPR camera notified an officer of a stolen vehicle traveling westbound on W Townsen Blvd. The stolen vehicle was then observed by a tow truck driver at the Waffle House on Will Clayton Pkwy just off US Hwy 59. The female suspect exited the original vehicle and then entered another vehicle in the parking lot and ordered the driver out. Once the driver exited her vehicle, the female suspect used the new stolen vehicle to ram into responding officers that had just arrived at that scene.
The male suspect, while fleeing the scene, was observed by a Harris Co Sheriff Office Deputy and a vehicle pursuit was initiated.
It was later found that the vehicle that the male and female were in was a fresh stolen vehicle that had been taken at gunpoint and Harris Co Sheriff’s Deputies had already been looking for the vehicle.
The male suspect fled into Montgomery Co and turned around at Roman Forest, evading officers until he bailed out at the Haverstock Hills Apartments. The suspect then entered an apartment where he remained for a short time before surrendering to officers.
Houston PD, Texas DPS and Montgomery Co Constables assisted on this incident.
