Just received the email that HCA was hacked and patient personal information were taken, including dates of birth. It didn't mention SSNs for those that provide that. Kingwood hospital (Conroe/Tomball) is part of HCA. To find out if you are impacted, they posted people can call them at 888-993-0010.

HappyDay2016 : I would definitely sign up for a free Experian credit monitoring service and follow this guide: www.experian.com/blo gs/ask-experian/heal thcare-data-breach-w hat-to-know-abo

HCA should provide free credit monitoring after a confirmed breach, but that doesn't always happen. If you had an online account with HCA I would change your password now - and any other site you used that password on!

I read the email again it did say SSNs were safe which is good to hear for those that provided that information to them. I dont think they have any of our SSNs anyways, I try to avoid giving that information.

I got the email yesterday as well. Also got a weird phone call from a woman with a heavy Indian accent (it was a voice recording) regarding some billing that I owed for a radiologist. They move fast!

SandyKnee : We got that call too. Indian or Pakistani had radiology ifno and asked for B/D. We refused and they hung up.
