StormChaser : We made the mistake of signing with them several year ago and noticed there was never an improvement after there visits. One time we were not home when the supposedly came. When we called, they told us a story about how a blind lady let them in and called the dog inside while they sprayed. Well, I am not blind and we didn't have a dog. After that, we told them not to come back ever.

Aptive Pest Control Just a heads up to be leary of what you sign. This company, Aptive, is going door to door in Kingwood offering "deals" on pest control. I used to use Cox (now Fullscope), but I don't like the fact that they don't spray indoors. Anyway, he comes and gives his pitch. It's an 18-month contract with quarterly sprays of the entire property line, entire house, garage, and attic at $109 a visit. I'm paying $90 with fullscope, who only does the outdoors, so it was a good deal.....until it wasn't. 😬 Hell, this is why I let my husband handle this ****. Afterwards, I sit & read all the fine print of the contract. I know, I know. 🙄 Lord, I know better than that! That is completely on me. Anyway, it's an 18-month contract like we agreed on, but the spray schedule is every TWO months & not quarterly! That means a total of 9 visits in a year and a half. Also, that $109 didn't include "mosquito pest control." That was an EXTRA $89 bucks on top of that each freaking visit to bring the total to $200 bucks with taxes every 60 days! 😵 $200 x 9 visits = $1800 for 18 months. Ummm, no. Most companies I've contacted are around $300-$400/year for the same damn thing. Then I find out they're a "green" company so the sprays they use don't kill the eggs of the bugs that are already present. 🤮 Thank God for the 3-day right of rescission as I was able to cancel the contract the next day with no penalties. They have been blowing up my damn phone ever since, begging me to reconsider, so I gave them my husband's number and told them to call him at work. 😂😂😂😂 #sorrynotsorry Anyway, I do have a confession about the whole thing. The guy was BEYOND GORGEOUS and I was hella distracted! 🔥😂 Tall, tan, tight shirt with yummy muscles, and he had pictures of his husky puppies on his tablet! Puppies, ******! 😂 That doesn't take away from the fact that I was told one thing and signed up for another, but had I paid more attention, I would have caught it. Lesson of the day kids....look at the contract and not the muscles!

StormChaser : One of their sales guy was here the other day knocking on the door I didn't even open the door I just told him I wasn't interested in whatever he was selling. And he got on his Segway and left

StormChaser : I still open the door and regret it every single time. I dont want it to appear no one is home. I believe majority arent there to sell legitimate stuff. I hate door to door sales unless its the boys scouts or girl scouts. The rest irritate the crap out of me. They always say my neighbor so and so and try to get my name. None of their beez wax. They are full of crap because they always tell me some random name that is no where near close to the neighbors. Sales is hard enough but when your first sentence is a damn lie go and pound sand.

e : I am amused when they use the neighbor line, lol. I always tell them the neighbors are also idiots and then shut door or go back round to side door.

sweetie: He was at my gate a week ago. I didn't even answer the doorbell. Off he went on his Segway to try and con someone else. Door to door peddlers just irritate me.

The Aptive guy STOLE my no soliciting sign, put it in his pocket and then proceeded to ring the bell. I guess the idiot didn't know how a Ring doorbell camera works. I didn't make it to my phone to answer until he was walking away and already at the street. I replayed the video to see who it was and that's when I saw what he did with my sign. I went out and called him back, he was giving me his sales pitch all sweet and happy. I just wanted the name of his company. Then I told him I wanted my sign back out of his pocket. His face was hysterical at that point! At first, he "didn't see a sign there because it was already gone". I told him he is on video stealing it...deny, deny, deny....then he finally remembered that he saw it blow off and into the flowerbed that is a good 30 feet away. Emoticon It was not a sign that could blow effortlessly through the air. Little punk *** *****. But...I don't think he'll be doing that again. lol
