Anyone know how unclog sunroof drain? Apparently clogged causing leaking water inside truck. Got a quote between 75-200 which I just can't do. Watched youtube video and tempted to try myself but figured I would see if anyone in the area had experience doing this. 4951

@JENSMITH2 :
The drains get stopped up, it's actually a tedious project that requires taking parts off and clearing the drains and other areas. If you want it done professionally, take it to a shop that knows what they are doing. 4951

@Chrisinkingwood : The cans of compressed air, for cleaning keyboards could possibly do it too, since they have the little straw. May not work, but, could be an option, in the absence of a compressor. 4951

We had to unclog our daughter's sunroof drain and it worked. Hubby watched the YouTube video and worked at it slowly so not to puncture and drain tubes. It was stopped up with leaves that has decayed and worked their way down the drain tube.

I can't tell you all he did but he did have to work from the roof then crawl under the car and work from there! You'll need an air compressor and some thin wire and lots of water in a cup, don't use the hose! That's about all I can remember seeing him use! 4951

Need to find the grommet end to the tubes and clear them out. 4951

Sometimes it's possible to force air down the line if you have a compressor and a small tip to fit into the tubing.

@Chrisinkingwood :

You can actually make it worse this way.
Force too much pressured air can pop the tube out of the grommet that secures it the the outside. 4951
