Colorado- just for the beauty and being able to get into the wilderness easily. Florida for the beaches 4951

@BostonAC : My favorite state for the summer would be Rhode Island and for the cooler months maybe Mississippi but, only for the warmer weather. I think I would still choose somewhere in Texas in the winter. Maybe Georgia instead of Mississippi overthinking this question. Oh! My brain hurts, Oh! 4951

@Roulette : I have longstanding family ties to Rhode Island so I like Rhode Island. If you can't choose between Georgia and Mississippi, just split the difference and choose somewhere on the Gulf Coast in Alabama or Florida. 4951

@LabLady : I lived in Florida for many years and never really visited the beaches. On top of living inland (not really close to any beaches), I guess when you live there's it's just home. You focus on work and school and forget you live in a tourist state! I was slightly partial to the West Coast Gulf Coast beaches just south of Tampa though, or the Atlantic Coast beaches just north of Miami. 4951

@1836 : I see! Hahahahaha. I'm not a native Texan and I've spent more time outside of Texas than in Texas, but I think that Texas is a good state by any standards. The economy is strong, and the cities here all offer just about anything you could ever want. 4951

@bigla : I've only been to the Cape a few times. My user name says Boston, but the part of Massachusetts I lived in was Bristol County- very close to the Rhode Island state line. 4951

@bigla : I lived in North Attleborough growing up for a few years, and we always avoided Logan. We always flew out of TF Green even if it meant taking additional connecting flights. My dad refused to drive into Downtown Boston and park at Logan. 4951

@bigla : I'm thinking we almost always flew on US Airways because we usually stopped in either Philadelphia or Charlotte, and those were US Airways hubs back in that day. 4951
