Can anyone recommend a GOOD house cleaner? ...someone who is willing to do laundry, dust well, wash windows, etc. at a fair price? I’ve been using someone for a few years (for the dirt cheap price of $80/clean), but I feel as if the quality has done down. I’ve even tipped her well to see if that might help along with providing specific instructions, but it hasn’t worked. Thanks in advance for y’all’s help. 4951
I hired a cleaner that a few neighbors recommended on our n/hood FB site-she charged $150 because it was a deep clean (I told her my buddy paid less than $100 for a bigger house)-anyway I needed it done (was after my transplant and I had my mom/great niece staying with me and I couldn't vacuum ect yet). She didn't even clean the inside of my microwave (isn't that the FIRST thing you do when cleaning/straightening your kitchen)-she wiped my table top stove off but didn't scrub the burn marks (they come off-you just have to scrub some)-as well as several other things. I can't be that much pickier than these others-can't believe they recommended her. She did do a good job on my white tile floors (her deep cleaning included some kinda hot water treatment)-but other than that-I got ripped off-live and learn. 4951
I use "The Cleaning Authority". They send out 2 or 3 maids in a team and they have a very regimented way of doing the cleaning. They are really there to do the actual cleaning of surfaces. (Not to put your socks away or wash your dishes) They deep clean the bathrooms (scrub tubs, showers, shower doors, toilets, sinks, granite) and disinfect the kitchen, they clean the ceiling fans, the blinds, they wipe down the cabinets in the kitchen and baths, they dust everything, sweep down cob webs, neaten up, wet mop all hard floors, vacuum all carpets. They use lightly scented cleaning detergents. They bring all their own cleaners and equipment. They empty all trash containers and take the trash out when they leave. If they break something, they will reimburse you. You can choose your day and time. They do a good job. They often do little things like fold a paper bow or a fan on your toilet paper roll or the paper towels. I work from home so I am here when they are here, but some people give them a key and the maids come and go while they are at work. I love maid day. 4951
