I am there for almost every other event. Handing out cookies. Making sure all are attended to. Standing there, bored. No way. This one is for my husband and I'm gladly passing the baton, even if temporarily.

A whole lotta kids grow up in our country without steady male role model. Those kids have a much higher rate of dropping out, becoming criminaly involved perpetual poverty, etc..showing these kids that there are men that do care..i dont see the problem with this. Kids, especially boys, being raised by only mom statistically dont do well.

My father went out for a gallon of milk when I was 5. My mother raised me and my 3 siblings solo. We all are doing pretty damn well and it is 1000% because of her. She was a strong independent lady who didn't need no man.

@NWHNotary : statistically, that is not true for more than it is for some. I was not knocking your mother.
