In my opinion the cops have the right to question the guy with the rifle because of the recent crimes.

HappyDay2016 : And he has a right to tell them to **** off and not answer any of their questions. That's not an opinion.

How quickly people have forgotten about the guy in a hoodie that recently stuck a gun in a persons face on the trails near creekwood. Hoodie, gun, trails (remember the details) Now a guy was seen with a gun (rifle) wearing a hoodie on the trails. 🤔 Now people are talking about that he has the right to carry the rifle around on the trails. The police are looking for that original suspect, of course they want to know if the guy with the rifle matches the description of their other guy that hurt the woman by pushing her down next to the middle school just minutes before the kids got out. They have the right to catch the guy who threatened the female with a weapon. Also at the same time someone has been starting fires very close to where the guy stuck a gun in a persons face. They may want to see if there is a connection to those crimes or if the fires are being started by kids. In my opinion the cops have the right to question the guy with the rifle because of the recent crimes.

HappyDay2016 : A person sticking a knife in someone's face is a problem because it is threatening them, therefore it is illegal. The man walking around carrying a rifle minding his own business not bothering anyone is well within his legal rights because he is not threatening anyone. Hoodies are popular clothing nowadays. Are all men in hoodies in that area suspicious and subject to questioning?

Yup I think it's a good idea for them to check out a guy walking the green belt with a rifle and find out why.

@seanm2 : What do you mean why? It's none of their business or anyone else's as long as he's not breaking the law.

You don't have to have a reason to follow the law.

NeenaC0629 : A poster said they saw the guy just walking, minding his own business, and not interacting with others. Guns don't scare me, only bad people with guns and the guy walking was just someone minding his own business exercising a legal right and as long as he wasn't threatening others, that doesn't scare me. I don't write the laws but what he was doing is in fact legal. This is Texas. I'm used to those laws and actually support them.

Heathur : Normal people don't walk around in hoodies carrying a rifle in neighborhoods.

doddlebug : Maybe we should outlaw hoodies instead of guns. Seems like everybody committing crimes these days are wearing hoodies.

sweetie : There's nothing wrong with hoodies. I wear one when out on a cool morning. Easy to tie around my waist. Just like there is nothing wrong with guns. It's the people who choose to use both in a bad way.
