Chiza : It's awful my friend her son went to the dance. She said the kids were scared out of their mind. Someone was shouting shooter shooter. And they were all running
Why can't we all "just get along "? 🙂
J2911 : Tied to their cultural behavior.
MissAmericanPie : But yet you're the first person to bring up racism. Got it. For the record, I think the statement "acting white" is problematic so, according to your "blind logic", I'm "overly sensitive about white cultural behavior" as well.
J2911 : Yes you are. That's the whole issue. You brought it up bc what you think is fairly clear. It's a shame too bc racism is real and it's getting worse and this kind of fake crying wolf actually demeans the real thing, and the real problem.
Is this what kids think sweetie, that this BS is funny? What do their parents teach them? Seriously? No, I'm not yelling at you....just Flippin appalled. My kids aren't allowed to talk back, and if they do, I give them an ear full....and if it doesn't change, their consequences get worse....progressively. I'm so mad right now....so very sorry your Daughter had to go through this slee1976.
You really don't want to hear my opinion MissAmericanPie. I agree with you...but I'll upset the norm here in Kingwood.... I have two 7 year olds ((non traditional per Kingwood norms/standards)...and you don't have to argue for or against...Kingwood has shown us))...that both get bullied and ridiculed for different things...they tell me about it weekly (at least)...at 7 years old...but I remind them to treat others as they want to be treated (and they agree and we talk about "walking away" but It gets overwhelming for them too...yes they understand their nationality and culture and will stick up for it, as they should)...and sometimes needs to be taken further...teachers and "subs" don't take it seriously. I've been told, as a parent "its normal for them to be called certain curse words" and my "kids need to learn to suck it up"...let me remind you, they are 7......no the **** it's not...they don't know what the **** that means...(but they (my kids) are ALWAYS the "bad kids" in the end...when something goes wrong and they stick up for themselves)... Not arguing with you MissAmericanPie...just pointing out "facts" in our community. And this was not just 1 "public" school...the hatred started at a private Christian preschool....which I removed my kids from and put then in public school and it's no different...I would go into more detail but not unless asked.
