How do I convince my husband to put in a pool. Give me pros and

Gingersnap : husband already bought me a convertible mustang. Drove it for 5 years. They paid us back for the same price

I have built a pool in a past house and I have bought two houses that had pools already. My observations after all these years are:
- There is no way I could possibly live here in Houston without a pool. We use it constantly. Same with our old house down here.
-We spend more time yearly in the hot tub than in the pool. Obviously not in the max heat of the summer, but 10 months a year. One reason we sold our old house down here was to get a hot tub. We love that thing.
-NEVER install a pool unless you realize that the vast majority of the money you spend on building it is unrecoverable. Dollar for dollar, it's probably the worst investment you can make in a house from a financial standpoint.

TXhomegirl : My convertible would be gone by now. But I have enjoyed my pool for 20 years. All my grandkids learned to swim in it. My husband now says that is worth the cost just for that. Our youngest son is a great swimmer. Being special needs it was a big bonus to have for him. He's in it now with his dad and uncle. I'm going to Brenda and Steve's craft night or I would be out there with them. 😊
Oh and don't forget your food, snack, drink, and beer cost will go up. 😳
