I'm all for the protest. Everything will still be the same come Sunday morning. The most positive outcome, just like last time, will be certain people burning calories for a change. Otherwise, it's an exercise in futility. Trump's the President for the rest of this term. Ain't nothing gonna change.

Quixote : No protest directly changes anything. But they can, and have in the past, influenced behavior. The point to some is to show, publicly, that they don't agree with some of the direction of the federal government. Perhaps that inspires better candidates to seek public office. Perhaps not.

buffaloglenn : They change behavior alright and generally not for the good. Is rally the new term for protest now? At best these 'gatherings' usually end up showcasing the bad side of humanity. And that's sad.

Me and a few other people will be going. Looks like a decent crowd so far through word of mouth! Excited to see the turnout

buffaloglenn : Protests were cathartic in the sixties. Helped end the Vietnam Nam conflict. The worst thing humanity faces is stagnation. Movement clears the way for hope and best outcomes. Exercise is good.

Ruger5 : I think you are taking one or two that get out of hand somewhere else in the country, and painting that as the complete picture. Obviously, you already know the one that happened here previously had absolutely no bad behavior, burning, or any of the other bad side of humanity you described.It will be YOUR neighbors out there doing the protesting/rally whatever, not some "radical faction".
