Quixote : Might as well have spelled it out. I didn't say it was. What's interesting is the veterans protest pointing out the money being wasted on a parade, who is supposed to be celebrating the armed forces, could be used to actually help veterans. If you want to honor the military then don't make a public display of it and just give support to veterans programs.
If only we could get crowds to "street-protest" stuff like High Insurance Premiums(Auto-Home-Medical), Property Taxes, Flood Issues, Inflation, Car Dealership scams, E-mail and cell phone SPAM, (insert RIP-OFF here), etc...Those things will be lasting longer than 4 years, and possibly growing in the meantime....
