More on e-bikes

mm4731 : Here you go, fire ants is the reason. Also vehicles need to yield to ebikes, BMW,s and nice trucks. Mainly because that is what I have. It's the All about me generation and that's the way it is according to me.

Just contacted all my State, county and city representative and asked for re-evaluation of the speed limits in Kingwood Texas, to lower the speed limits to 30 MPH, because of the concern that the residents on here have about sharing the road and the population growth, and the accidents that have occured in Kingwood proper including deaths. I did my part. I also sent some money to feed the starving kids in America.

Barbrandy : I think that's the plus side is that people are getting out more.
But it's not just aggressive and inattentive drivers. It's the quantity of drivers that makes it dangerous.
We don't live in farm country and Harris County is notoriously unwalkable. I don't think they could pave a bike lane through Kingwood even if they wanted to.

pickme2 : How about helping the rest of us poor law abiding drivers from the kiddos on their scooters and ebikes that shouldn't be on the road. I'm as much concerned about some little idiot on a scooter or e-bike darting out in front of me who failed to stop at a stop light or sign.

oldarn pickme2 : the problem here is we absolutely SHOULD NOT be sharing the roadways with littles on teeny speed cycles that co mingle with 4-6 ton chunks of steel whose driving expertise of those who sit behind the wheel CAN NOT be vouched for. oldarn : Same. This shouldn't be an example of what it means to 'adapt'……..but passing legislation against the nutty notion that clueless littles on teeny high powered scooters should be allowed to share the roadways with 5 ton chunks of steel with god only knows who behind the wheel would be a fine place to start.

Ruger5 : I'm not crazy about them being on the road either. My biggest issue is their complete disregard for traffic rules and lack of any kind of courtesy. It's bad enough dealing with the reckless drivers as it is but to throw these little ones into the mix just make matters worse. It wouldn't be as bad if the parents would teach them proper traffic etiquette. IMHO.
