The Maddux's lost their beloved son, brother, nephew and need all the support and love this community can give them. We need to send light, love and prayers their way. It's horrific to lose a child no matter how it happened and a blessing these thugs were apprehended so quickly. I'm keeping the Maddux family and close friends buffered in warm thoughts and prayers. 4951

Kmadd1995 : Kmadd1995 : All of the uproar comes from a post where I mentioned that drugs and money were a part of this, and that I feel parenting plays a huge role in the actions these boys took. That sparked it off, and I am sorry for that. What happened to Tristan is horrible, and I honestly meant no disrespect. I understand they are mourning, and I thought it best to take my comments down. However, what I can only assume we're reply comments made to me by the family, or at least a cousin, were far worse than what I said. Also, I have now seen others mention that weed and money were the reason behind this. I was only following a narrative that a lot of people were already disussing. What I will say about the comments that Cajunmom and RIPTristan had for me, well they shouldn't go into caves and poke at bears they cannot see. I stand by my original comment though, parenting is key, and all of this was 100% avoidable. Once again my condolences, and I hope they throw these 3 thugs under the prison. 4951

Weathergirl5 : The prison fears are largely mythological, unless they get the death penalty. Having known someone who was on death row, it's as you would expect a very difficult existence. Regular prison, not as much. 4951

yankeejessica : I asked her if she'd heard anything about this and she said everyone at school was talking about what had happened to the kid. Then she said State Troopers were at the school a couple days ago. I read off the 2 names of the guys arrested and she knew of them. When I showed her the picture of them she said one of them (Isiah , I think) is in one of her classes. 4951
