Yes they went over 59 and there was absolutely no backup on Northpark or Kingwood Drive ever! They decided to widen 59 and instead of readjusting the bridges they took them down and elevated 59 and put in stoplights on Northpark and Kingwood Drive that caused all manner of traffic backups!
luannski : I am hoping the new Northpark/494 bridge will help with the traffic. I have to wonder why they did not go ahead and make it go all the way past 59 with a fly over going both directions.

luannski : i believe that was mistake.... to get traffic flowing we need the overpasses at northpark and Kingwood dr to connect directly to59 just like 249 connects to beltway or 59 connects to 99 even though that is partial. We have the railroad & so many stops for every street along our main roads that causes back up traffic. Up north we love the clover leaf entrances.
