Joe: I used to live in that neighborhood many, many years ago. First house I ever bought. Bought a 3/2, 2100 sf home there for $51,125. It was a nice home, at the time Kenswick was a nice neighborhood. After Hurricane Harvey, the neighborhood went to hell.

Smoothwaters : I often park my car there when I ride my bike on the Spring Creek Greenway. Never had a problem. On weekends lots of families picnicking and enjoying themselves, the people I encounter are very friendly. Always peaceful.

Spork : Since you asked - Lots of drug activity. Decline in property. But for me the deal breaker was the number of sexual offenders. There were literally 5 sex offenders living on one street in Kenswick just a couple blocks from by home. Not to mention dozens more within the neighborhood... I had 2 very young children so I had a decision to make I could live in Kenswick and be a stay at home mom or work and move ... I decided to move and I have NEVER regretted it for a single minute.

Govchance : MY first home was also in Kenswick. We bought when there were a ton of Foreclosures... paid 39k for a 3/2/2. Sold about 6 years later for 80k. Been in Kingwood ever since.

GoldenGirl: mine was a foreclosure as well and it was in excellent shape. Also sold it for a nice profit. I have never had a house payment over $450/month. When my son tells me what most of his friends pay monthly now, I cringe. Mostly in the $2,000- $3500 range.
