Lulu45 : And I was told to do away with the cross overs. If they try to grab and run you will get hurt if it does not break away easily. You will get dragged!

mutton : I carried a crossover for years. Always at UH. Thought the thief would pick an easier purse to snatch. But you are right....I could have been dragged. Just never know.

MrsTfromADC : Me, too! If I take the phone out of my very close pocket, I pay and put it right back. I worry more that my DH would be hit but usually I hand him my card in a restaurant. Those type people watch everything.

My coworkers (some) and I have Bagnet keychain magnets on the side of our purses. It is so powerful! I got mine from Amazon. You can hang your purse on just about any magnet surface such as next to you on the wall in the restroom. It can be hung on the front of the refrigerator, side of the car while picking up groceries, metal pole under a table etc. However at restaurants I am so bad about throwing my purse over the corner of the chair which makes it very easy to access behind me.

sweetie: That is so low down behavior! And using a Church debit card! I am always on guard! You can't take anything for granted!

Jellybeaner : Thieves don't care who they steal from. I've heard of them going in and stealing from people dying on their deathbed. They're just low lifes

sweetie : How did they use the dibit card without the pin number?

Texas1965 : I don't know. I don't have a debit card so I don't know how that works. But something seems fishy between the store and the clerk and the thieves.

Texas1965 :
I am sure they just used it as a "credit card". This means swipe and pay up to $500 swipe for most banks.

Kingwood is attracting some slime balls, a lot more than normal.
Because Kingwood is part of Houston and has lame bail policies?
Or just an easy mark because the community was always safe.
But please hoodies are so ghetto.
Why wouldn't anyone notice them skulking around?

Just another suggestion. When I traveled to The Netherlands a few years ago, I was told to get one of those flat, small holders with an adjustable belt that are worn under clothing with access to my visa book, credit cards and other identification for maximum protection. Of course, I wore skirts and tops over my skirts so I could access this document holder from under my top without too much inconvenience.

Lulu45 : I have a small one I wear under my shirt. It will hold my phone, key fob, ID, and a couple of cards. When I am wearing a jacket I use a small crossover under my jacket.

Lots of good ideas on this post.

Whenever you are in public look for victimizers - we know now they are everywhere, waiting for an opportunity.
