goldie : I know. I got the email from them about it. I hate this. They had the best kolache's in town. It was pricey but the food was good. I enjoyed using the free kolache and coffee each month for a year. I only got to use half of it. I'll have to find a friend close to the other locations to give my card to.

goldie : That is most unfortunate. I hate seeing businesses close. I was unaware there was a kolache shop there.

In order for a kolaches-only vendor to survive, they have to have a steady business of larger, to-go orders. Kolache Factory does a booming business, all over Houston, because they put themselves in the middle of heavy business areas, so people can take a box full to work, or cater for business conferences. Selling a few at a time, here and there, won't sustain them long.

donnatella : Exactly! Opening in that spot was a poorly thought out decision.

The Kolache Shoppe in the HEB Center has unfortunately closed. From their FB page:

As we embarked on this franchise journey, we knew it would involve taking risks and encountering a few bumps in the road along the way. With the opening of our Kingwood franchise, we faced numerous challenges that ultimately hindered our ability to perform well in that market. Therefore, after careful consideration, we, along with the Kingwood franchisees, made a difficult decision and have closed that location. However, we firmly believe that failures serve as valuable learning experiences and we have embraced this challenge as an opportunity to grow. Looking ahead, we are filled with anticipation for the future. We are excited to announce that another new location is on the horizon, and we can't wait to share the details with you soon.

Your unwavering loyalty has been the driving force behind our success, and we are incredibly grateful for your continued support. We are here to serve you at our Greenway and Heights locations and, very soon, at our brand-new Pearland location! 💙

Aww I really loved those kolache's. They were better than the place on North Park. The only bad thing for me was I live in the front of KW and they were in the back ok KW so I don't get back there often. Really surprised they had to close.

Shame.
Good kolaches; excellent cinnamon rolls.
Hate to see them leave.
Patronized them once a week (at least).

Just saw this, but this is sad. They had the best kolache around here. Not surprising that people in Kingwood complain about wanting things, and they hardly ever support anything outside the horrible big chains. Oh well

I only went once and Didn't have a great experience. 5 people "working" but mostly standing around looking confused. Poor selection of what was left on a weekend (Sunday at 10am and about half of the items on the menu were "sold out" which makes zero sense) I got 6 kolaches and it was about $30 bucks. They were all served to me cold in a single bag where I couldn't even tell what was what. They tasted alright but not worth the money or the ********. I'm not surprised at all they went out of business.

ZMAN : pretty much my thoughts too.

donnatella : I had one from the Northpark location, the breakfast egg bun. 90% roll, 10% egg, very dry, not impressive. 🤷‍♀️
