We made an offer on a house yesterday up in Livingston

We found a home on the lake years ago...........and also just an empty lot, overlooking the lake, about a block away...........but then the kids and grandkids were here in Kingwood. The boys still work....downtown.... so I knew I was way too lazy to drive back and forth to watch the grandkids do stuff.....settled here.........but I did LOVE the lake front!!!

wmubronco : I like lakefronts I just need some room with neighbors not on top of me. There's some nice houses on the lake, we thought about it

I know what you mean. Grandparents had about 10 acres........eventually surrounded by subdivisions................turned out to be a family complex with my dad and his two brothers building homes all in a row..........and raising families back then.

That view is beautiful! My husband and I just bought about 2.75 acres out there too. We are going to build on it in about 2 years when he retires. I am greatly looking forward to it. Good luck with your purchase!!

Grandpa and my dad and my uncle built this home back in 1939....electrical and plumbing and plaster was done by certified craft. On 10 acres....just right.

I have found out that people who buy a house sometimes find the house hunted or the house was not maintained very well.
