I look back at my bicycle days as I kid.😱
Traffic moved more slowly because of lower speed limits and increased police enforcement (no "warnings".) Bikers were stopped and lectured too. Parents notified.
Now things are motorized and move faster. Scooters are "invisible" to the eye and minds of car drivers-wrong size and speed. They're looking for cars !
All taken into consideration, I'm happy to be here .

#msg6022014Please do not advocate for more regulations. Americans are over regulated…..we have so many laws no, that you can not spit out a bug without breaking the law. People driving need to pay attention to driving, not doing other things and blaming their failures on others.

pickme2 : I completely agree with you on the over regulation……if only the government regulated in common sense fashion, as they should here, I'd be aok with it. This one is a no brainer, and apparently regulating is what it's gonna take ……..nobody disagrees these high powered scooters driven by nitwit littles have no place sharing roadways with 4 ton hunks of steel. Stupid people doing stupid things need regulating.

I'm still twitching from what I just witnessed at HEB…….the little dimwit riding through parking lot on the back wheel only…..I wanted to jump out & twist his ear, but not looking to spend the night in jail. No more than 6th grade…….im pondering sharing the pic I took to the mom's of Kingwood page……..those ladies don't play…….they post pics almost daily of dangerous stupid **** these littles pull on those scooters…..'if this is your kid it reads………kinda funny but not really.

Ruger5 :
Common sense regulations to one person is a intrusion on another person's freedom. I would not call Gods creations nitwits. I grew up in rural area, used to ride my bike per the law and still had many close calls with adult drivers. Not sure these are considered high powered scooters. Yes, as adults it is our responsibility to look after all children. Living in a community of family homes equates to children being around. I stay aware of my surroundings and the harm that can cause to others who do not. Parking lots create dangers that every adult should be aware of and drive appropriately.
