eighteen : I have two at Bear Branch. They definitely knew something wasn't right. My 5th grader asked me a ton of questions and said it was the most freaked out she had ever been at school.

Cbear : He is a registered sex offender. I had reached out to the bb elem principal this summer when I saw him show up on the website at that address. She prob called police. He assaulted a 15 year old when he was around 21/22. He needed to go!

LemonEye : I was definitely curious how well a perimeter lockout, or whatever works. I'm sure it's hard for the kids to not know something is wrong. At the same time, I hope they understand the teachers do well to keep them safe. One of my boys came home saying they knew which teacher had a gun during one of the practice drills. So, that was an entire conversation.
eighteen : We received a text early before school informing us that there was police activity trying to serve a warrant. All drop offs were redirected to the back of the building as the perimeter lockout was in progress. Traffic was backed up but the staff did a great job . Safety patrols were kept inside for drop offs and the principal and staff members assisted with the car doors and getting the kids quickly inside.
There were also 3 district police cars in the back parking lot so it was obvious some was going on . I told my grandson about the warrant and explained what that was. He was interested in all the activity but not nervous.
